Dr. Dayna Hazlewood

Dr. Dayna Hazlewood received her undergraduate education from the University of Wyoming with a bachelor in Physiology and minor in Neuroscience. She earned her doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, where she focused on service by working as an ambassador for the university and volunteering in events such as the Special Olympics and eye care clinics to the local underserved community. Her training provided her with a broad range of experience as she interned with honors at a VA Medical Center, a surgical co-management site, and the United States Navy Medical Center.

Dr. Hazlewood seeks to establish a clinic to serve the needs of adults and their children with a special interest in conditions like dry eye, glaucoma, macular degeneration, contact lenses, diabetes exams, LASIK and cataract evaluations and emergency eye care.

Although a Wyoming native, Dr. Hazlewood has chosen to make her home in Nebraska. She is actively involved in the Papillion Kiwanis and Chamber of Commerce, with the goal of promoting the growth and health of the community she serves. In addition, Dr. Hazlewood is a member of the American Optometric Association. She lives with her fiancé Justin and their energetic cattle dog, Freckles. Dr. Hazlewood enjoys many of the local parks, spending time with family and friends, snowboarding, hiking, live music, and football.
